Custom Spriting

I'm trying to learn how to make custom sprites, but for all I know, I can't sprite worth a damn, so I'll need someone to help me. I've tried making KOF-style sprites of my characters from AtPE, but they were only color edits... I feel so damn useless sometimes. Can anyone lend a helping hand and help a fellow artist?

If no one wants to help me, then fine, I'll try to do it on my own, but trust me, you've disappointed if you saw my spriting, and even more disappointed to not get to know me more. I'd do better making edits rather than making a scratch sprite.
